Come along with the painter Antonín Vojtek on a journey through time and space. We stop in a real oasis. Amidst the dryness, amidst the "burnt land" – greenery! A small oasis with a gas station. The landscape around us is entirely different, reminiscent of the peak of our Pálava. Drought-resistant herbs, thistles, dry grass, rocks, and cliffs. They say we'll be here for fifteen minutes. I'm like crazy, I want to explore this landscape up close. I ask my friends, "Don't leave without me." And I climb over the fence and run into the countryside. Seven minutes there, seven back. What can you run in seven minutes? A kilometer? I run up a hill in thirty-five degrees and then another and another. Seven minutes have passed, and I'm in the wilderness with more and more hills ahead. I have to go back. I ran foolishly chasing the vision of understanding Spain and found nothing. Just wasteland and dryness. The Pina del Ebro oasis is within reach. I made it! I sit in our car, catching my breath, and immerse myself in my inner self.

SEARCH FOR LOVE FOR THE HOMELAND

From Elsewhere

The book we present to you is very unusual. Antonín Vojtek once again exchanged the brush for the pen and embarked on capturing his experiences. Unusual experiences, as they were inspired by a dream. A dream that revealed many things and answered questions that we often ask ourselves. After the dream, there was a period in which he worked intensively on the cycle of oil paintings "From Elsewhere." It is abstract art, a form he has been dedicated to for many years intermittently. (In the 1970s, he created the first abstract oil paintings, continuing in the 1980s. With the new century, he completes the cycle "From Elsewhere" with almost fifty abstract oil paintings.)

In his work, he draws inspiration from dreams and visions.

So we present to you a book full of poetry, paintings, but also music! A.Vojtek approached the great composer J. Krček to set the "From Elsewhere" painting cycle to music and the poet J. Malina to accompany the paintings with verses. The paintings speak and sing.

The Landscape of My Heart...

Dear friends of beautiful landscapes, Southern Moravia, friends of visual arts, and poetry, in June 2009, a delicate, black-and-white book titled "The Landscape of My Heart, or Journey around Břeclav" was published.

In this brilliant publication with an introduction by Dr. Zahrádka, writer J. Kostrhun, singer J. Černý... I want to express my admiration for the enchanting region in which I live. For three years, I deliberately traveled with a sketchbook from Stará Břeclav, through the city center to Poštorná and Charvatská Nová Ves, visiting Pohansko and Kančí obora.

Reflection

The monograph "Reflection" by Antonín Vojtek was published on the occasion of the painter's 75th birthday.

Publishing such a book in today's times is not easy at all. The idea for its creation had been maturing for about ten years. The reality was evolving, and various circumstances kept delaying the project. It seems that, in a single sentence, it could be said that this monograph is a reflection into the future. Because behind all the memories during this reflection, one can sense that the painter is also thinking about the future.

It is a colorful publication, bound, and full-color, chalk paper, 116 pages. It includes contributions from 16 authors, supplemented with sayings and verses by A.Vojtek. It contains many colorful paintings and drawings. All autobiographical details are included.
