"I know it would be wise to keep quiet, to say nothing. But am I wise when I have made so many mistakes in my life? But ... who are we without fault? Who among us humans does not make mistakes. It's only skill to admit it. It's just a matter of courage. I have to admit I've wasted a lot of time. "Wasted" means I could have done more, but at what cost?

I didn't go for glory over dead bodies, no matter what the cost. I took the honest path of hard work and, above all, I didn't calculate. I did not betray friends, I forgave enemies, I supported the unfortunate and had mercy on them. I did not forget to smile, for I was learning more and more that life must not be taken tragically and that it is not that big a deal.

And so I thought to myself. Thank you, Fate, for all you have prepared for me on my journey through life. It's been enough, the cup is filling up. Fate, the winemaker, the good winemaker, poured me good wine and I didn't drink it to "dumbness", I drank it by the sip and even with that little bit I liked to get drunk.

But my eyes still look at the world as they did three quarters of a century ago, because eyes do not age and still register beauty. Yes, I would like to live with beauty, the beautiful muse, until the moment when I am transformed by the transformation of the "perfect" into a cloud of oblivion."
